ABC is bringing you ‘Home for the Holidays’ with their line-up of festive specials this year! Getting a early jump on the season, the network will air Thanksgiving themed episodes of some of their hit primetime original series beginning mid-November, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will air the day before T-Day, and by Thanksgiving night it will be mostly Christmas programming from there on out — kicking off with “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration”!
The network will celebrate the season with “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, the “CMA Country Christmas” annual concert hosted by Jennifer Nettles, the seasonal reality competition series like “The Great Christmas Light Fight” and “The Great American Baking Show” will be back as well as holiday themed episodes of ABC Originals “The Goldbergs”, “Speechless”, “Fresh Off the Boat”, “The Real O’Neals”, “The Middle”, “American Housewife”, “Dr. Ken” and “Black-ish”.
Family movies are also on the list– including “The Sound of Music”, “Mary Poppins” and Disney’s “Frozen”. After Christmas, ABC will keep the season going with “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown” and “Rudolph’s Shiny New Year” before ending the year with “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2017” and finally, the annual “Rose Parade”.
