As Christmas music and a crackling fire set the mood, Kellie Pickler took on hosting duties once more as she hosted Hallmark Channel’s “2018 Countdown to Christmas Preview Special” over the weekend.
Both Kellie and Lacey Chabert gave us sneak peeks over the past few months as they hosted separate preview specials for the network, but with the slate of highly-anticipated holiday programming kicking off THIS FRIDAY, I think it’s safe to say this hour-long special was the final step in our journey on the Countdown to Christmas! I’m so excited–is it Friday yet?!
As with my previous recaps, I’ve included the scoop on the movies spotlighted during the special.
“Road to Christmas”
Premieres: November 4, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Jessy Schram, Chad Michael Murray and Teryl Rothery
Producer Maggie (Schram) and filmmaker Danny (Murray) are tasked with putting together a live Christmas special on a live in Vermont featuring Danny’s mother, Julia (Rothery). With a goal of making this show a huge success, Maggie embarks on a journey to deliver all three of Julia’s grown sons, who are scattered all across the country, for the best Christmas surprise ever.
“It’s Christmas, Eve”
Premieres: November 10, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: LeAnn Rimes and Tyler Hynes
LeAnn Rimes plays a school superintendent forced to make cutbacks, but an unexpected connection with the widower music teacher (Hynes) and his daughter, not only opens her heart to the possibilty of love, but also unleashes her creativity.
“Christmas Everlasting” (Hallmark Hall of Fame)
Premieres: November 24, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Tatyana Ali, Dondre T. Whitfield, Patti LaBelle and Dennis Haysbert
Christmas is fast-approaching, and Lucy (Ali) is about to make partner in her top New York City law firm when her older sister with special needs, Alice, unexpectedly passes away. She heads back to her family’s home in Nilson’s Bay, Wisconsin where she receives a very special request.
“Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe”
Premieres: November 23, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Lacey Chabert and Brendan Penny
Successful entrepreneur, Darcy (Chabert), returns to her hometown of Pemberley for Christmas and reconnects with an old rival, restaurant owner, Luke (Penny) as they’re forced to plan a charity event together. The more time Darcy spends there, the more she begins to realize what matters most in life.
“Christmas Joy”
Premieres: November 3, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Danielle Panabaker and Matt Long
Corporate market researcher Joy (Panabaker) is gunning for a promotion with her firm but, when a family member suffers an injury, Joy finds herself back in her small town of Crystal Falls where she reunites with a former crush–Ben (Long), and finds herself taking on the position of chair for the local Cookie Crawl competition. Cookies and sparks are sure to fly.
“Christmas at Graceland”
Premieres: November 17, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown
“In this movie, I play a business executive named Laurel who travels to Memphis to secure one of the city’s oldest family owned banks,” Kellie told the viewers. “While she is there, Laurel reconnects with an old flame, played by Wes Brown; he convinces a reluctant Laurel to start performing again, and their time together reignites a passion she’s forgotten.”
“A Shoe Addict’s Christmas”
Premieres: November 25, 2018*

Cast: Candace Cameron Bure, Luke Macfarlane and Jean Smart
As Christmas approaches, Noelle (Cameron Bure) accidentally gets locked in the department store after closing, but her guardian angel (Smart) invites her to visit Christmases past, present, and future. Will visiting the holidays of yesterday and tomorrow help Noelle discover the true spirit of Christmas?
“Homegrown Christmas”

Cast: Lori Loughlin and Victor Webster
After giving up her job, Maddie (Loughlin) heads home for the holidays and surrounds herself with family and friends with hope of gaining perspective on her future. But, when Maddie finds herself face-to-face with her old flame (Webster), she begins to rediscover what made them fall in love all those years ago.
“A Gingerbread Romance”
Premieres: December 15, 2018*

Cast: Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Duane Henry
In this sweet story, Christmas is just weeks away! Taylor’s (Mowry-Hardrict) architecture firm enters her in a contest to build a life-size gingerbread house, so she convinces a local baker, Adam, to partner with her on the project.
“Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa”
Premieres: November 18, 2018*
Network: Hallmark Channel
Cast: Jill Wagner, Mark Deklin, Holly Robinson-Peete and Barbara Niven
Decorating for the holidays really gets everyone in the Christmas spirit but, sometimes, we could all use a little help. When Lisa (Wagner) takes a last minute Christmas trip to her hometown of Evergreen, she finds that the beloved General Store has closed its doors. So, Lisa convinces a resident contractor, Kevin (Deklin), to help her transform the shop to its former glory. Amidst the restoration, the towns people find a very mysterious 25-year-old letter that never made it to the North Pole.
“Christmas in Love”
Premieres: November 11, 2018*

Cast: Brooke D’Orsay, Daniel Lissing and Mary-Margaret Humes
Ellie Hartman (D’Orsay), an aspiring crafter working in her small town’s bakery shows Nick Carlingson (Lissing) –the big city new CEO during his visit to the bakery’s main floor– that it’s people and not machines that make the business a success.
