During Hallmark Channel’s annual “Christmas: A First Look” preview special, which aired over the weekend, we got a sneak peek at Lacey Chabert‘s upcoming holiday movie, “Christmas in Rome”.

The sweet romantic film follows Angela (Chabert), an independent-minded American tour guide who is fired from her job in Rome just before Christmas and ends up crossing paths with Oliver (Sam Page), an American executive, who wants to buy a high-end Italian ceramics company. Oliver hires Angela to be his guide around the city because the owner of the company won’t sell to him until he learns ‘the heart and soul of Rome’. But, Oliver might just win the heart of more than just Rome.

In the clip that aired during the special, we saw Chabert’s character wearing a beautiful dark green coat that is perfect for the season…. and I just had to share the details on it!

This style was popular last year in Hallmark’s slate of festive movies; it was seen in “A Shoe Addict’s Christmas” and “Mingle All the Way”, but I can’t deny that this traditional shade is my favorite look yet! In this newly released still, we see that Lacey’s character, Angela, will wear a grey double-breasted coat from Zara. This is a favorite brand for Hallmark Channel movies; I don’t think I’ve seen a Christmas movie in recent years that hasn’t featured at least one Zara coat, and can you blame them? They’re fabulous and affordable!

For the promotional photos, Lacey wears the scarlet red Zara Inverted Lapel Frock Coat, which we can expect to see her wear in a scene from the movie as well.  Unfortunately, if you’re looking to get the exact style, you’re out of look as she’s wearing the older version of the coat from 2018.

This style has been updated by replacing the single button with an eye-hook. You can purchase the new version in a variety of colors–including red, on sale, at Zara.com.

Update 11/21/19:  I’ve found a few more items from the movie!

When Olivier bumps into Angela upon his arrival in Rome, we see her keeping warm in a cool red biker jacket over a heart printed dress.  She’s wearing the Lucky Brand Tweed Moto Jacket in Red.

Sadly, this jacket has already sold out, but I found similar styles via H&M and HSN.com!

You don’t think I would search for the exact jacket and not try to find the dress, did you?  Luckily, I found the exact one that Lacey wears in the movie!  Angela’s jacket was perfectly paired with a Maje ‘Rengia’ Heart-Embroidered Woven Midi Dress, which is on sale for $161 at Selfridges.com.

There is also another dress, the ‘Rengo’, and a skirt, the Jengo, with the same pattern available–as well as a similar style from The Kooples.

The sleek off-the-shoulder v-neck red dress that Angela wore to accompany Oliver to Luigi Forlinghetti’s (Franco Nero) holiday dinner was one of my favorite fashion moments in the movie!  She wore the Cinq à Sept ‘Birch’ Dress in Crimson, which is also available in several other colors–including two more shades of red!
