(Update: 9/11/21) – The Backstreet Boys have announced that, due to COVID-19 concerns, they have canceled their A Very Backstreet Christmas Party engagement. They have also postponed their Christmas album until the 2022 holiday season. Read their official statement below:
Backstreet’s back this Christmas!
If you’re part of the older demographic of my readers, you probably discovered the Backstreet Boys back in the late 1990s, and they’ve been going strong as a unit ever since. In fact, the best selling boy band of all time is ready to ring in the holiday season with their fans by returning to the Las Vegas Strip with A Very Backstreet Christmas Party, a series of 12 holiday shows at Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The holiday residency will span dates throughout November and December, and it will mark the group’s first-ever set of holiday performances. BSB is set to entertain with a set-list filled with classic holiday favorites, new originals, and their biggest hits.
According to recent reports, BSB have also been working on their first-ever Christmas album. This news is very exciting to me because I recently expressed wanting to hear a full holiday record from them as I’ve enjoyed their past two stand alone Christmas singles, “Christmas Time” that they recorded back in 1996 as well as “It’s Christmas Time Again,” which was released in 2012. I imagine these shows will coincide with the release of their Christmas album, but don’t quote me on that.
As for the holiday shows, tickets are on sale at ticketmaster.com. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Keep checking out backstreetboys.com for meet & greet information as it becomes available.
Backstreet Boys, Live Nation Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment will once again donate $1 of every ticket purchased to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV). Throughout their Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life residency, BSB donated $180,000 to the organization.
