Christmas may still be several weeks away, but the holiday season is officially here, and CBS is ready for it with a glowing schedule of joyful programming.
The network has prepared a plethora of specials, including the musical events “Adele One Night Only”, “One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga”, “A Home for the Holidays at The Grove featuring performances from Justin Bieber, Alessia Cara, Kane Brown and Darren Criss; traditional favorites like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, “Frosty the Snowman”, the Kennedy Center Honors, the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade, holiday-themed episodes of CBS original shows, and two brand new movies: “A Christmas Proposal” and “Christmas Takes Flight”.

Adele One Night Only | 8:30 PM, ET/8:00 PM, PT
New primetime special from global superstar Adele will preview her first new material in six years with premiere performances of several never-before-heard songs plus classic hits. The night will also feature an exclusive interview with Adele by Oprah Winfrey.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
This favorite is a music story based on the popular song of the same name by Johnny Marks. It recounts the tale of a shy reindeer whose Christmas spirit is dampened because his shiny nose has made him the laughingstock of all of Christmasville.

The CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade | 9:00am-12:00pm live ET; 8:00-11:00am live CT; 7:00-10:00am live MT; and 9:00am-12:00pm, delayed PT
Hosted by “Entertainment Tonight’s” Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight, the Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to Sixth Avenue. This year’s special will take viewers on a tour of the most popular balloons and floats including the iconic Santa Claus. Also, the show will feature musical performances and celebrity interviews.

In this animated special, Robbie must train to compete in the Reindeer Races to become a part of the sleigh team for Santa.

One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga | 8:00 PM, ET/PT
A new live concert special honoring the musical legacy and enduring friendship of Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga. Filmed at two sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall in August 2021 to celebrate Bennett’s 95th birthday, the live concert brings together the two incredible entertainers performing duets and solo songs honoring their shared love of the Great American Songbook.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting | 8:30pm ET, 8pm PT
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee LL Cool J will ring in the holiday season as host of the 99th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting, which will be broadcast for the first time on the CBS Television Network. This beloved American tradition, presented by the National Park Service (NPS) and National Park Foundation (NPF), will feature a star-studded lineup of musical performances by Billy Porter, Chris Stapleton, H.E.R., Juanes, Keb’ Mo’, Kristin Chenoweth, Maren Morris and Patti LaBelle singing holiday favorites. In addition to the official lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse in President’s Park in Washington, D.C., the event will also feature performances by the U.S. Army Band Downrange and the Howard Gospel Choir.
The 23rd Annual A Home for the Holidays at the Grove | 9:30 PM, ET/9:00 PM, PT
The entertainment special features uplifting stories of adoption from foster care and raises awareness of this important social issue. The inspirational stories of these American families are enhanced with performances by some of today’s top artists (to be announced shortly), performing from The Grove in Los Angeles.

Recipients to be honored at the annual national celebration of the arts in Washington, D.C. are operatic bass-baritone Justino Díaz; Motown founder, songwriter, producer and director Berry Gordy; “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels; legendary stage and screen icon Bette Midler; and singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell.
