Singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw is gearing up to release his very first holiday EP next month with “A Classic Christmas,“ a six-song EP with a bluesy, soulful take on traditional yuletide favorites—including, “Silent Night,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” and “White Christmas.”
“My favorite record of all time is ‘White Christmas’ by Bing Crosby. It may be the greatest record ever made. It happens to be a damn good movie, too,” said DeGraw. “I decided to make a Christmas record because I love classic Christmas songs. It’s got a special place in my heart and makes me feel like I’m with my family whenever I put it on. I listen to it all year round.”
“A Classic Christmas” will be available on October 13th, and you can currently pre-save your copy.
In addition to the release, DeGraw will also be performing the songs live for select audiences during “Christmas in the City,“ a short residency at Café Carlyle inside the Carlyle Hotel in New York City. The performances will from from December 12-16—tickets are currently sold out, but you can still join a wait list by visiting GavinDeGraw.com.
