Last year we posted about Emma Roberts’ upcoming holiday movie, “About Fate,“ and now there’s finally an official trailer for it!

The romantic comedy tells the story of two people who believe in love, but are never able to find its true meaning. Roberts plays Margot while Thomas Mann (“The Chariot”) stars as Griffin and Madelaine Petsch (“Riverdale”) plays Griffin’s girlfriend, Clementine.

In a wild twist of events, fate puts each in the other’s path on a stormy New Year’s Eve and comedy and chaos ensue. Britt Robertson and Cheryl Hines also star. “About Fate” is written by Tiffany Paulsen and directed by Marius Balchunas. Check out the trailer below!

It’s August 25th, which means there are only 4 MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS DAY! When you think about how fast this summer is flying by, it should give you an idea of how soon it will be that we’ll be in the midst of the holiday season.

It’s now the perfect time to start preparing plans for the upcoming season, if you haven’t already, and we hope you stay merry every step of the way.

We’re looking forward to the lineup being announced next month of upcoming holiday movies on Hallmark and Lifetime before their October programming kickoff events. It’s so exciting! 🎁✨🎄

If you’re anything like us, you’re both missing Christmas in July and anxiously awaiting the holiday season this fall to get into full-swing of the Christmas feeling.  We can’t speed up time, but we will let you know that you can fill your August with the spirit of the season thanks to Hallmark!

If you visit the Watch Hallmark TV!, there is a selection of free original Countdown to Christmas and Miracles of Christmas movies that you can enjoy all month long.  All you need is a cable provider, that’s listed on the compatible list to watch, to login with and you’re good to go.

Christmas in July just ended, but the holiday season pregaming continues with the official detailed announcement of two more movies that are coming to Lifetime‘s beloved It’s A Wonderful Lifetime programming event, which is set to return in October.

For Sarah Drew‘s (Amber Brown) previously announced “Reindeer Games Homecoming”, Lifetime has revealed that the actress will reunite with her former “Grey’s Anatomy” co-star, Justin Bruening (Sweet Magnolias). Drew penned the script for this film, and will also serve as executive producer!

Lifetime’s own ‘Queen of Christmas’, Melissa Joan Hart, will direct “Santa Bootcamp”, her fourth directed picture for the network, which will reunite her with Tony® award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray); the two co-starred in 2018’s “A Very Nutty Christmas”.  The movie will also star Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead), Justin Gaston (Nashville), Patrick Cassidy (Castle) and EGOT award winner Rita Moreno (West Side Story).

“I have always been a holiday person… particularly Christmas. The idea that I’m actually going to participate in this wonderful Lifetime Christmas movie, Santa Bootcamp, just tickles me to no end,” said Moreno. “I have been known, at Christmas time, to decorate anyone in my house who happens to stand still for more than a minute. I will decorate anyone and anything because I turn into a child. Therefore, what a treat for me! Thank you Lifetime. My grandchildren are already celebrating!”

According to a press release from Lifetime, ‘Santa Bootcamp will also showcase the network’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, as deaf actors Deanne Bray and Zyra Singleton will be joining the cast.’  Read more about the movies below!

This is, perhaps, our most exciting post to make this Christmas in July… the Backstreet Boys are finally releasing a Christmas album!

That’s right, after dreaming of one for so long, the long-awaited holiday album from the iconic group is ringing in the holiday season this fall. BSB made the announcement on Instagram earlier this month that A VERY BACKSTREET CHRISTMAS will be released on October 14, 2022, and you can already pre-order the CD and vinyl now (including a limited edition red-vinyl)!

“We’ve been wanting to do a Christmas album for nearly 30 years now and we’re beyond excited that it’s finally happening,” Howie Dorough shared, “We had such a fun experience putting our BSB twist on some of our favorite Christmas classics and can’t wait to be part of our fans’ holiday season.”

It feels like time really flies these days, doesn’t it?  We still have a week left, but how have you been celebrating Christmas in July this month?  In our household, we’ve been listening to a lot of carols, making décor plans for the holiday season, and watching Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel — including the three original premieres that recently premiered.  Did you have a favorite?

We’re reaching the halfway mark of the summer season, which means we’re getting closer to 24/7 holiday programming from our favorite networks.  Hallmark Channel is ready for their iconic slate of festive movies with the Countdown to Christmas event, which returning this October!

Hallmark promises that it’s going to be ‘sweater than ever’, and we can’t wait!

To celebrate the Christmas in July event on Hallmark Channel, the network has been doing things a little differently this year and giving us a more in-depth peek at the original holiday movies coming to the Countdown to Christmas lineup later this year! We don’t usually get a first look at the movies while they’re in production, so this is exciting.

On their official YouTube channel, Hallmark went on set of “A Christmas Disconnect” with its stars Marisol Nichols and Kristoffer Polaha as they shared a bit about the storyline behind their film.

Directed by Paul Ziller from a screenplay by Nicole Baxter, “A Christmas Disconnect” tells the story of a married couple (Nichols, Polaha) having a hard time connecting, so they check into a cozy inn a small town called Gracious, Vermont during the holiday season to try and reconnect.

Despite a lot of setbacks due to the pandemic, Christmas Con NJ finally went off without a hitch last December for the second annual installment of the holiday event that brought Christmas movie fans, the stars, and festive activities together in one place to celebrate the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ — and it’s coming back this year for round three of holiday cheer!

That’s 4 Entertainment announced the first 10 celebrity guests out of the 30 who will be in attendance for Christmas Con New Jersey* when it takes place this December 9, 10 and 11th at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, NJ, including returning host Jonathan Bennett and headliner Lacey Chabert.  Show hours are: Friday 12/9 – 2pm-8pm, Saturday 12/10 – 10am-6pm and Sunday, 12/11 – 10am-5pm.  Check out the first batch of stars announced below!

Here is your first look at the cast of “The Santa Clauses”!

Earlier this year, it was announced that Tim Allen would once again put on the iconic red Santa Claus suit for the Disney+ Original limited series, “The Santa Clauses”, based off the beloved Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Santa Clause” movie franchise that followed Scott Calvin (Allen) as he took on the unexpected role of Santa Claus.  The story started with 1994’s “The Santa Clause” before expanding to two sequels, 2002’s “The Santa Clause 2” and 2006’s “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.”

For the Disney Original Series, Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

Elizabeth Mitchell will reprise her role as Mrs. Claus (Carol) while Austin Kane and Elizabeth Allen Dick (Allen’s real-life daughter) will join the cast playing the roles of Santa and Mrs. Claus’ children, Cal and Santa.

Kal Penn will play the role of Simon Choksi, an ambitious game inventor and product developer who is a single dad to the Christmas-loving Grace (Rupali Redd), and the two will visit the North Pole for a grand adventure.  Devin Bright plays Noel, Santa’s trusted right-hand elf and Matilda Lawler takes on the role of Santa’s demanding Chief of Staff, Betty.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on whether Eric Lloyd who played the role of Santa’s son, Charlie, in the movies will make a cameo at all in the series.

We’ll keep you updated as more information, including the release date, is announced.
