To kick off the week, Chad Michael Murray shared some Instagram Story photos from the Ontario set of his latest movie, The Holiday Train (Update: It’s now called Toying with the Holidays)!  The former One Tree Hill star has been no stranger to holiday movies in recent years, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to see him filming one this summer.

In Toying with the Holidays, Chad will star alongside Cindy Busby (A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love). The movie tells the tale of a single mother, Danielle Prescott (Busby), who discovers messages from her late father through a model train set they built together at Christmas, all while finding new love with the owner, Kevin Vaughn (Murray), of the local hobby shop.

The film also stars Callum Shoniker and Donno Mitoma, and is directed by Bradley Walsh.

I do not have confirmation for which network the movie will air on, or when, but — according to a source, it will debut on Lifetime this holiday season as part of the It’s A Wonderful Lifetime programming event. I’ll keep you posted!

Chad has previously starred in Lifetime’s Too Close for Christmas as well as The Road to Christmas and Write Before Christmas for Hallmark.

UPDATE (10/11/22): This movie is now called “Wrapped Up in Love,“ and it will premiere on Sunday, December 18th at 8pm/7c as part of Lifetime’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday programming event! We’re so glad this movie finally has an official airing. I know a lot of our readers were eager to see it as much as we were.

Back in January I told you about a new holiday movie that Brittany Bristow was working on called Loving Christmas, well now the movie is completed and there’s a keyart poster and trailer available!

In the movie, Ashley (Bristow) has always been the “Christmas Queen” in town. That is, until she meets her match, Ben (Olivier Renaud), a handsome new guy in town, who loves Christmas just as much as she does. They join forces to make Christmas even more meaningful.

“Loving Christmas” also stars Tara Joshi (Heart of the Holidays) and it’s directed by Michelle Ouellet from a story by Timothy Kuryak.

This summer Jana Kramer and Ryan McPartlin linked up in Mystic, Connecticut to film a brand new Christmas movie for Lifetime!

Their new film, which just wrapped this week, is called “The Christmas Fix” and it’s directed by Brian Herzlinger, who previously worked on several holiday movies including Ryan’s 2019 film, “Twinkle All the Way” and Jana’s 2020 movie, “A Welcome Home Christmas” — both of which also premiered on the Lifetime Television network.

While the synopsis has not yet been revealed, judging by the set photos the cast posted throughout production, there seems to be a ‘fixer-upper’ renovation theme in regards to Jana’s character.

The movie also stars Maria Menounos and Brandon Ford Green.

Peacock has announced “The Real Housewives of the North Pole”, an original movie coming to the NBC streaming service this holiday season that will star Betsy Brandt (“Breaking Bad,” “Soulmates,” “Life in Pieces”) and Kyle Richards (“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Halloween”).

Directed by Ron Oliver, the movie follows the Christmas Queens of North Pole, Vermont, Trish (Richards) and Diana (Brandt), who have won the Best Holiday House decorating competition every year for the past nine years. But days before Christmas, a friendship-ending argument sparks a town-wide feud and draws the attention of a national magazine writer hoping to make a name for herself with her scintillating expose titled, “Real Housewives of the North Pole.”

Production will begin in Utah this month with a premiere eyed for sometime later this year on Peacock. Stay tuned to LollyChristmas.com for more details, including an official premiere date, as they become available.

Celebrate Christmas in July with Tubi by streaming their original holiday movie, “A Chance for Christmas” starring Tori Anderson (Return to Christmas Creek, Spotlight on Christmas) and Mykee Selkin, which premiered last month.

Directed by Stefan Brogen, the movies follows social media influencer and her manager who must re-live Christmas Eve until she can hit enough views… and learn to love her imperfect life.

Hallmark Channel has announced that Grammy-nominated, singer-songwriter and actress — and American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, will be making her Countdown to Christmas debut this holiday season by starring in “A Christmas Treasure” alongside Hallmark alum Michael Xavier, who previously starred in “Christmas Comes Twice” from the network among other holiday film credits.

The official synopsis reads: After opening a 100-year-old time capsule and finding her grandfather’s journal, Lou (Sparks) questions whether she should move to New York after Christmas to further her writing career or stay in Pine Grove to carry on her family’s local newspaper. Charming chef, Kyle (Xavier), is also at a crossroads, visiting Pine Grove for the holidays. When Lou and Kyle meet, they both have doubts about their future, but the magic of the holiday season and the connection they have, helps each of their journeys.

Jen Lilley, an actress who should be very familiar to you if you’re an avid viewer of Hallmark movies (especially at Christmas) or soap operas like Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, but she’s also a big believer in helping those in need. Lilley co-founded Christmas is Not Cancelled, which is an ‘action-oriented marketing company on a mission to save the world by raising awareness and funding incredible non-profit organizations’.

They have a goal of spreading Christmas cheer all year long while creating a sense of community. This summer the company launched Camp Christmas in July, a fundraiser to help children in foster care receive quality school supplies. For participants who donate, they will be helping to give kids backpacks full of school supplies and notes of encouragement, and participants will also have the chance to win amazing prizes. TV Insider has announced that MTV Entertainment Studios Comedy Central will be getting into the Christmas spirit this year with a brand new network holiday original movie, A Clüsterfünke Christmas. Production recently started on the upcoming film that stars Vella Lovell (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), Cheyenne Jackson (“American Horror Story”), Ryan McPartlin (“Once Upon a Main Street,” “Twinkle All the Way”) and SNL veterans Rachel Dratch and Ana Gasteyer.

A Clüsterfünke Christmas is a comedy that’s actually a parody of the holiday TV romance films that you all know and love. The story follows Holly (Lovell), a New York City real estate executive who is sent out on assignment to purchase the Clüsterfünke Inn (owned by Dratch and Gasteyer’s characters) located in a quaint small town.

Holly is challenged when she meets Frank (Jackson) and has to decide whether she should complete the assignment and go back to her city life, or fall in love with him and find the spirit of Christmas.
