MERRY HALF-MAS!!! We’ve hit the halfway mark to Christmas!! It’s awesome that it falls on a Saturday this year because I hope that allows for most of you to enjoy the festive weekend, plan for the ornaments you’re going to buy next month at the Hallmark Christmas Keepsake Weekend preview, listen to some holiday tunes, and maybe squeeze in a Christmas movie (or two)!

Have you made your way to your local cinema to check out the new holiday comedy film “The Night Before” starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie yet? If you’re not familiar with the film, it’s centered about three friends who have celebrated Christmas Eve together for the last decade but find that their tradition might be coming to an end as one of them is about to become a father and their lives are changing. So, what does this mean? One (possibly) last holiday together filled with debauchery and a lot of laughs.

Wow–it’s officially December 1st, which means we’re so much closer to Christmas and the new year! Where does the time go? It seems we wait all year for the holiday season, and then it goes by way too fast. I geuss it’s true what they say, “time flies when you’re having fun!” My halls are all decked, but now I’m ready to enjoy baking cookies and watching Christmas movies!

Much like many other networks, NBC is following suit with holiday programming of festive classics and all-new specials. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will kick things off on Thursday, November 26th followed by special engagements like “The Wiz Live!”, “Adele Live in New York City”, “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors”, Michael Buble’s 5th annual Christmas event, Dr. Seuss’ beloved tale “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and, a new favorite, “Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas”.

The programming will wrap up on December 31st as Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Andy Cohen, and Carson Daly help ring in the new year.

The ABC Television Network will kick off the holiday season with the classic half-hour animated PEANUTS special, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. In the 1973 special, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the gang. However, the dinner he arranges is a disaster when the caterers, Snoopy and Woodstock, prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish. Humiliated, it will take all of Marcie’s persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown.

A special bonus cartoon from Charles M. Schulz, “This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers,” will air with the PEANUTS classic, in which history comes to animated screen life in a captivating and informative program about the Mayflower voyagers.

It’s almost time for Christmas, and to celebrate, Lifetime’s Very Merry Christmas programming is set to kick off on November 28th — Thanksgiving weekend — with world premiere holiday movies every Saturday and Sunday for a month! I’m excited, are you excited?

“A Gift Wrapped Christmas”, starring Meredith Hagner, Travis Milne and “7th Heaven” alum Beverly Mitchell, is the first movie slated to premiere on Nov. 28 at 8pm ET.

Some of your other favorite stars will all star in movies premiering on the network, including: Michelle Trachtenberg, Rick Fox, Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory”), Jen Lilley, Larisa Oleynik, Hilarie Burton (“One Tree Hill”), and Laura Bell Bundy, who will work alongside Michael Gross and Meredith Baxter (“Family Ties”) in “Becoming Santa”, airing on Saturday, December 12th.

In just a few short weeks it will officially be December 1st and with that comes the kick-off of ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas – one of the most beloved holiday television programming; it’s something I look forward to every year! This year will be the last seasonal marathon for the network before they change the network name to #Freeform in January.

Does Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas have the same ring to it? The vote might still be out on that one.

Anywho, ABC Family has already released the full 25 Days of Christmas schedule, which you can check out below! The schedule is as follows, all times ET/PT.

On the day after Thanksgiving, the ABC Network will officially begin their holiday programming, which is set to include the all-new series “The Great Holiday Baking Show” and “The Great Christmas Light Fight”, the annual “CMA Country Christmas” music event hosted by Jennifer Nettles, and the “Toy Story 20th Anniversary Special”.

Kristen Bell will host a special holiday retrospective, “It’s Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the PEANUTS animated tale, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with appearances by Kristin Chenoweth, Sarah McLachlan, Boyz II Men, Pentatonix, and more!

You’ll also find classic animated specials in the line-up, such as, “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”, “Rudolph’s Shiny New Year”, and “Disney’s Prep & Landing”, along with holiday-themed episodes of the hit comedies “Fresh Off the Boat”, “Modern Family”, “black-ish”, “The Middle”, “The Goldbergs”, “Last Man Standing”, and “Dr. Ken”.

Once again, ABC’s holiday programming begins on Friday, November 27th at 8pm/9c and will end on New Year’s Eve with the airing of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2016”. I’ve included the schedule below, which includes air dates/times and a synopsis of each.
