It’s time to celebrate Christmas in the sand because Christmas in July is returning to Hallmark Channel!  For the 12th year, the beloved summer programming event is set to bring you a little festive mid-year pick-me-up all month long!

The network is giving you even more merry this summer with 2 all-new holiday movies—Falling Like Snowflakes starring Rebecca Dalton and Marcus Rosner (premiering June 29) and A Very Vermont Christmas starring Katie Leclerc and Ryan McPartlin (premiering July 20) ; television premieres of their streaming service hits Rescuing Christmas and An Ice Palace Christmas and an extended cut of the fan-favorite Three Wise Men and a Baby starring Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker.  Get more information about the all-new movies below!

We have received questions about where to watch the holiday movies on ION Television this year and, like you, we were on the hunt for the schedule for several weeks. Unfortunately, the network never updated their main daily schedule to show a large inclusion of Christmas movies this year.

After a bit more searching following Thanksgiving, we found out that you can watch holiday movies throughout the season all day every weekday until Christmas Day through ION Plus—their streaming service sister channel.

The holiday programming, which kicked off on Thanksgiving night, seems to only include Christmas movies from past years. We could not find any information on any network premieres exclusive to this season. Click here to check out the daily schedule.

Hallmark Channel’s Merry Thanksgiving Weekend returns this year with a twist — an Ultimate Watch Party hosted by the network’s Chief Fan Officer and Fan Leaders! Putting the Hallmarkies in the heart of it all, viewers can enjoy 4 nights filled with merry movies as we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and festive features.

The Merry Thanksgiving Weekend Ultimate Watch Party kicks off on Thanksgiving night—Thursday, November 23rd at 8pm/7c with the premiere of Catch Me if You Claus, starring Italia Ricci and Luke Macfarlane, and will conclude on Sunday evening with the premiere of A Biltmore Christmas, starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha. Perhaps the most anticipated movie of the celebration is Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up, the sequel to last year’s holiday hit with an all-star cast led by Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown.

Catch Me If You Claus — November 23 at 8p ET/PT
Starring: Italia Ricci and Luke Macfarlane

Avery Quinn (Ricci) is an aspiring news anchor who’s finally getting her big break on her station’s Christmas morning newscast. But that’s put in jeopardy when she captures an intruder in her home wearing a red suit claiming to be Chris (Macfarlane), Santa’s son, who is on his first mission. A night of adventure ensues as they find themselves being pursued by the police as well as some shady characters. Along the way, they connect over living in the shadow of their parents and inspire each other to go after their dreams.

Count down the days until Christmas, literally, with the return of the annual daily holiday television binge event (say that 25x fast!)—Freeform’s 25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS!  The network officially rolled out the schedule for December this morning, and it’s jam-packed with beloved favorites, including “The Santa Clause” trilogy, “Home Alone,” “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000), and classics like “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

Freeform will also debut the network premieres of the Disney+ films “Noelle” starring Anna Kendrick, “Godmothered” starring Jillian Bell and “The Naughty Nine”—a brand new original that recently premiered on the magical streaming service.

More holiday hits will be part of the lineup, such as the family classics “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas,” “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994), “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” and “Frozen,” and the “Toy Story” franchise.

Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas begins on Friday, December 1st and runs through Christmas Day!

We always look forward to seeing the beautiful key art posters that get created for the Hallmark holiday slate each year. Gone are the days of a traditional wintry Christmas background with our stars clad in red and green.  While those were pretty and festive, this new direction allows each movie to stand out while retaining the magic of the season—as much it can in a poster!

There are several posters created for the 2023 lineup of all-new movies coming to Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas lineups (which just got announced this week!), as well as the Hallmark Movies Now’s Movies & Mistletoe exclusive premieres. We can barely contain our excitement because the most festive Christmas movie announcement of the year is finally here! ✨🎄✨

Hallmark has unveiled this year’s holiday lineup, which kicks off on Friday, October 20th, and it’s packed with 40 all-new, original premieres spreading cheer across Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas events as well as Movies & Mistletoe exclusives on the subscription streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now!

The network’s reigning ‘Christmas Queen,’ Lacey Chabert will reunite with former “Party of Five” costars Scott Wolf and Jennifer Aspen in two separate movies—with Wolf in “A Merry Scottish Christmas” and with Aspen in “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up,” the follow-up to last year’s hit!  Bethany Joy Lenz will join Kristoffer Polaha in “A Biltmore Christmas,” Janel Parrish and Tyler Hynes will co-star in “Never Been Chris’d,” and “Good Witch” co-stars Catherine Bell and James Denton will have their own on-screen reunion in “Christmas on Cherry Lane.”

More fan-favorite stars will return to sleigh as they lead new movies, including: Benjamin Ayres, Jonathan Bennett, Krystal Joy Brown, Warren Christie, Cindy Busby, Erin Cahill, Paul Campbell, Nikki DeLoach, Brooke D’Orsay, Jaicy Elliot, Brennan Elliott, Luke Macfarlane, Niall Matter, Barbara Niven, Ryan Paevey, Brendan Penny, Kristoffer Polaha, Michael Rady, Ronnie Rowe Jr., Kimberley Sustad, Andrew Walker, Victor Webster, and many others!

Merry Thanksgiving Weekend, will return on Thanksgiving night, November 23rd with the premiere of “Catch Me if You Claus” starring Italia Ricci and Macfarlane, and continues all weekend with double feature premieres at 6 p.m. ET/PT and 8 p.m. ET/PT each night.

Word on the merry street is there will be some Easter Eggs in this year’s features, including surprise appearances from familiar faces, nods to Hallmark past movies and iconic roles!

The first full holiday programming announcement of the season is finally here, and it’s as uplifting as it is merry! UPtv will return in November with the annual Most Uplifting Christmas Ever event that will give viewers 45 days of Christmas programming filled with 85 titles—including 8 movie premieres and an all-new Gaither music special, A Christmas Homecoming.

The holiday cheer will officially kickoff on Friday, November 3rd and will premiere its first Christmas movie of the season, We’re Scrooged, starring Tamara Duarte (Wynonna Earp) and Andrew Bushell (Record Breaking Christmas) on Sunday, November 5th!

In addition to the uplifting slate, UPtv’s subscription streaming service UP Faith & Family also begins Christmas on November 3rd with over 200 Christmas favorites, part of Cozy UP to Christmas. This selection will include 35 newly added premieres and exclusive titles that includes an interactive mystery that will offer viewers the opportunity to help solve the case and save Christmas!

Eddie Murphy will be starring in his first-ever Christmas movie this year!

Get your candy canes ready because Murphy joins Tracee Ellis Ross in Candy Cane Lane, which will be premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Video!

Directed by Reginald Hudlin, the movie stars Murphy and Ellis Ross as Chris and Carol, respectively, in a holiday comedy inspired by screenwriter Kelly Younger‘s childhood experiences.

The movie also stars Jillian Bell, Robin Thede, Nick Offerman, D.C. Young Fly, Chris Redd, Ken Marino and Danielle Pinnock. Candy Cane Lane is scheduled to be released on December 1, 2023.
