According to ET Online, Hallmark Channel fan-favorite Jill Wagner will return for an all-new movie that’s set to premiere during the 10th anniversary of the network’s beloved holiday programming, Countdown to Christmas.

Wagner will lead “Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses” alongside Matthew Davis, best known for his roles on The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” and its spin-off “Legacies”, as well as television icon Donna Mills (“Knots Landing”, “General Hospital”).

The movie focuses on Wagner’s character, a single mom named Abbey who takes a leap of faith to pursue her passion for interior design. After landing a possible career-advancing job decorating the estate of a local businessman Nick Sinclair (played by Davis), Abbey learns that she must complete the job by Christmas Eve. How will she balance the fast approaching holiday and deadline while managing to break down the wall between her and Nick?

We’ll have to tune-in this holiday season to find out!

Mills, who previously starred in “12 Gifts of Christmas” (2015), will play the role of Nick’s mother.

While it will be a Hallmark debut for Davis, this film marks Wagner’s fourth Christmas movie for the network; she previously starred in “Christmas Cookies” (2016), “Maggie’s Christmas Miracle” (2017) and “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa” (2018).

Netflix announced some big news on Twitter today for fans of their original movie, “A Christmas Prince” today! The streaming service tweeted out a photo of a sonogram with the wording: “Baby makes 3”, which teases the third installment in the series that’s set to debut this holiday season!

“A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby” will follow last year’s “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding”, the follow-up to the 2017 original film “A Christmas Prince”, all of which star Rose McIver and Ben Lamb in the leading roles of Amber and Prince Richard, respectively.

It may be February, but it’s currently Christmas in Almonte, Ontario! According to Pembroke Today, Hallmark is taking advantage of the Canadian winter season to film an upcoming Christmas movie for their holiday lineup later this year.

While there’s no plot reveal just yet nor do we know which Hallmark network it will premiere on, “The Christmas Coach” is currently in production with “Christmas at Grand Valley” star Chad Connell and Erica Deutschman (“Shadowhunters”) in the starring roles.

I know Christmas has been over for two months, but the fact that we’re already getting holiday movie news has me feeling like the season never left.

I have more Christmas movie news, you guys! I feel so merry today!

Crown Media Family Networks has announced an exciting new deal with Country music superstar Blake Shelton. Last year, “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas” premiered on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries network — a film based off of the book by Shelton’s mother Dorothy Shackleford, and inspired by a song from his 2012 holiday album Cheers, It’s Christmas.

The success of the movie has led to a development deal in which Shelton will serve as an executive producer of a new original movie. The all-new film will chronicle the emotional journey home at Christmastime and songs from Shelton’s library of Christmas music will be featured.

“The theme of making your way home at Christmastime to be with loved ones resonated with our viewers in the first film Blake Shelton produced for us,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “We’re excited to offer a brand-new, heartfelt story with compelling characters our audience will connect with.”

I can’t wait to learn more about this movie as the year goes on!

Oh, I’m super excited about the merry movies news today!

Crown Media Family Networks have announced the very first original movie adaptation from Hallmark Publishing! That’s right, Hallmark Channel will welcome “The Christmas Company”, based off the story by first-time novelist Alys Murray.

“The Christmas Company”, Hallmark’s bestselling novel to-date, tells the story of the annual Dickensian Christmas festival in the small town of Miller’s Point, which is threatened by Clark Woodward, a miserly, big-city businessman. Kate Buckner steps up to save her hometown, their traditions, and her favorite holiday. But, along the way, she realizes that the man she’s trying to protect her town from might need some rescuing of his own.

As the tagline reads: “She’s out to save her town from a real-life Scrooge…”

Casting information hasn’t been released yet, but we can expect to see the premiere during the 10th anniversary of the network’s epic holiday programming, Countdown to Christmas, later this year!

The day isn’t even over yet and I already have more Christmas movie news to share!

Melissa Claire Egan, known for her roles on the daytime soaps “The Young and the Restless” and “All My Children”, tweeted a photo today of her on set of the new Hallmark movie, “Holiday For Heroes”, with co-star Marc Blucas (“Miss Christmas”, “Operation Christmas”).

The movie centers around Audrey Brown (Egan) and a solider named Matt Evans (Blucas) who exchange letters for a year before their worlds collide.

Meanwhile, Patti Murin also posted a photo from the set, which only further fueled the excitement from both me and many Twitter users / Hallmarkies!

It’s only February and there’s already an announcement for a new holiday movie coming to Hallmark! Did Christmas come early, or is this just the gift that keeps giving? I’ll go with both!

Kristin Chenoweth, known for her many roles across the stage, screen and television, has signed on for “The Christmas Song” alongside Scott Wolf (“Party of Five”, “The Night Shift”).

The film follows a youth choir director (Chenoweth) who needs to write a big song for a Christmas Eve show but is distracted when a boy with a golden voice (Kevin Quinn) joins her choir, which comes as a surprise to his widowed father (Wolf). If you’re familiar with Chenoweth’s voice then, much like me, you’re probably eager to hear her sing some carols in this film — she’s amazing!

“The Christmas Song”, penned by Nicole Baxter and directed by Eric Close, is slated to premiere sometime in November during the Countdown to Christmas lineup, which will also serve as the 10th anniversary of the beloved holiday programming event.

You were probably just as sad as I was to see Hallmark’s holiday programming end this month…

But, did it really?

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, and to celebrate the milestone, the network will air an original Christmas movie every single Friday at 8pm/7c until the countdown begins again this holiday season!

Our wishes for year-long Christmas have been granted!

It’s been four months since I told you about an upcoming holiday movie for Universal Pictures that would star “Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, who gained fame last year thanks to a leading role in the hugely successful “Crazy Rich Asians”.

The two lead “Last Christmas“, a romantic Christmas film set in London and directed by Paul Feig (“A Simple Favor”) with a screenplay penned by Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings.

Universal Pictures synopsis reads as, “As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart…and you gotta have faith.”

So, if the title makes you instantly think of the Wham! classic holiday tune, that’s intentional. The movie is inspired by the song.  “I’d met with George Michael,” Thompson explained to the Daily Mail on a fake snow-covered set in Bond Street. “He was concerned about the homeless, which is a large part of this story. We spoke a lot about life and death, and there’s a lot of that in this film as well.”

As of today we officially have a first look at the festive flick thanks to Golding’s latest Instagram photo, which features his character ‘Tom’ and Clarke’s ‘Kate’ taking a stroll through the wintry city streets.  Thompson, Rebecca Root (“Colette”) and Michelle Yeoh (“Crazy Rich Asians”) also star.

“Last Christmas” hits theaters November 2019!

In an exclusive announcement from Deadline back in October, Freeform has greenlit “Ghosting” — an upcoming holiday movie slated for the 2019 season.

Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky will serve as executive producers, along with Joan Rater and Tony Phelan, for the film that stars Aisha Dee (“The Bold Type”), Kimiko Glenn (“The Guest Book”), Kendrick Sampson (“How to Get Away with Murder”) and Missi Pyle (“Mom”).

As reported by Deadline, the quirky and heart-warming story follows Jess (Dee), who goes on the greatest first date of her life, but inadvertently ‘ghosts’ Ben (Sampson) when she tragically dies in a car accident on the way home. Stuck on Earth, with no idea how to ascend, Jess will need the help of her best friend Kara (Glenn), the only person who can still see and hear her.

To be honest, the plot sounds a bit too sad for Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas jolly programming but, considering it’s slated for their holiday season, we might see its premiere during the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas lineup that begins late November.
