To all of our festive friends in Chicago, get your Christmas sweaters ready because RomaDrama Christmas 2022 is coming in December! The convention announced their holiday event for the weekend of December 2-3 where you can mix and mingle (and jingle all the way) with some of your favorite rom-com stars.

As a special holiday gift to all attendees from the Hallmark Channel, there will be viewings of two new Countdown to Christmas movies, “Three Wise Men and a Baby” featuring Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker, and “A Fabled Holiday” starring Ryan Paevey and Brooke D’Orsay. There will be post screening Q&As with the casts, a live panel, and lots more!

We don’t know how you do it in your house, but it’s officially Christmas in our household. We’ve already begun taking down the fall decorations, we’re starting our days with peppermint coffee, there’s jingle jams playing throughout our home and we’re super excited for more holiday movies premiering over the weekend! Let the holiday season begin!

Despite a lot of setbacks due to the pandemic, Christmas Con NJ finally went off without a hitch last December for the second annual installment of the holiday event that brought Christmas movie fans, the stars, and festive activities together in one place to celebrate the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ — and it’s coming back this year for round three of holiday cheer!

That’s 4 Entertainment announced the first 10 celebrity guests out of the 30 who will be in attendance for Christmas Con New Jersey* when it takes place this December 9, 10 and 11th at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, NJ, including returning host Jonathan Bennett and headliner Lacey Chabert.  Show hours are: Friday 12/9 – 2pm-8pm, Saturday 12/10 – 10am-6pm and Sunday, 12/11 – 10am-5pm.  Check out the first batch of stars announced below!

It may still be New Year’s Eve 2021 in our neck of the woods, but we will probably be ready for sleep once it officially hits midnight to soak up a lot of relaxation this weekend, so we wanted to send our new year greetings a bit early. 2021 was been a very difficult year, but we hope you had some beautiful moments throughout it as well. Our wish for everyone in 2022 is to have healthier days, safer days and happier days. NBC 4 New York/WNBC is offering a very exciting opportunity to a local youth choir this holiday season. Starting this week, and running until Saturday, October 23rd, local choirs can enter for the chance to sing at the annual Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting this year.

“WNBC has created a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the youth of our community. Performing on the world’s holiday stage during our ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center’ is an experience unlike any other and we are excited to offer this to one lucky youth singing group from our area,” said Eric Lerner, President and General Manager of NBC 4 New York.

Competition entries will be accepted at nbcnewyork.com/choir — and the winning choir will be announced in November on NBC’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show”.

Specific holiday singing competition rules include:

• The contest is restricted to participants residing within WNBC’s viewing areas in New York, New Jersey, Fairfield County, Connecticut and Pike County, Pennsylvania.
• Singing groups must have a minimum of 10 members and a maximum of 35 members.
• All entrants must be between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age.
• Entrants can submit a video performance of any holiday-themed song, up to 3 minutes long.

Entrants chosen for a second round:

• Will be required to submit formal parental consent to proceed in the process.
• Will be asked to perform and submit an original, :90 second performance of “Silent Night”, “Joy to the World” or “Up on a Housetop.”
• The winning choir will be required to comply with all current COVID-19 protocols.

In just a few hours, we will be ringing in 2021 – in fact, some places already are!  While there were a few ‘highs’ in 2020, most of them were ‘lows’ …for some people more than others, but the whole world felt a lot of sorrow, fear and loss this year.  It was an anxious time.

I don’t know what’s in store for 2021, obviously I can’t tell the future, but I pray that there are many better days ahead of us.  I pray for the good health of my family and friends; I pray for you and your family and friends, and for everyone else all over the world — and I thank the essential workers who continue to do their massive part in helping us all get from day to day.

May this coming year be a time of growth and peace. Happy New Year – have a healthy and safe 2021! I’m off to do some last minute year-end cleaning before I watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC.
