Hallmark didn’t waste any time preparing us for their annual Christmas in July programming, today they announced the yuletide joy we can expect this summer — and it includes a new original movie!

Spend your days dashing through the sand before you unwind at night for the premiere of Amy Acker and Warren Christie‘s new film, “Crashing Through the Snow,“ which is set to premiere on Saturday, Saturday, July 10 (9 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel.

Maggie (Acker) and her ex-husband, Jeff (Kristian Bruun, “Orphan Black”), have always been friends first. When Jeff’s new girlfriend, Kate (Brooke Nevin, “Jingle Around the Clock”), spontaneously invites Maggie along to their Christmas getaway in Aspen, she jumps at the chance to spend a Yuletide holiday away with her two daughters. Although Maggie feels like a third wheel crashing their Christmas, she’s not alone as Kate’s hapless brother, Sam (Christie), shows up unannounced with a plan. Always seeming to live in Kate’s shadow, Sam, for once, wants to come out ahead, and he convinces Maggie that, together, they can compete with Kate and make this Christmas the best one ever. Neither of them is adequately prepared for the blended family challenges that lie ahead — or the feelings they develop for one another.

I’m so excited about getting a Christmas movie premiere this summer! I hope this opens the doors for more Christmas in July premieres in the future.

But, wait, there’s a lot more joy this July!

Hallmark is ‘bringing the yuletide poolside this July!’

It’s the ‘second’ most wonderful time of the year, and a cheerful pick-me-up might be needed now more than ever. Hallmark is here to lift our spirits with their annual Christmas in July programming event that spans two of their networks, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!

‘Gold Crown Christmas’ on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries begins Monday, June 29 at 5pm ET/PT where three festive favorites will air each night, and you can look forward to Double Feature Fridays with pairings of original movies from a franchise; “Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas” (2018) and “Time for You to Come Home for Christmas” (2019) on July 3rd and “Christmas in Angels Falls” (2017) and “Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday” (2019) on July 10th. Our country’s service men and women will be honored on Saturday, July 4th with a marathon of military-themed Christmas movies.

Hallmark Channel will join in on the joy when they present ‘Keepsake Christmas’, 17 days of original movies from Christmases past that begins on Friday, July 10th at Noon ET/PT. The holiday slate kicks off with “Christmas at Dollywood” (2019) starring Danica McKellar, Niall Matter and Dolly Parton.

Note: As for the annual Christmas: A First Look Preview Special that airs every July, Hallmark’s production schedule was halted due to the pandemic. I imagine the network will most likely wait until a later date, maybe September, for the first reveal. I’ll keep you posted.

I recently shared the full schedule for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Gold Crown Christmas Week, and now I have the lineup for Hallmark Channel‘s annual Christmas Keepsake Week. If you’re unfamiliar with these programming slates, each year Hallmark celebrates Christmas in July by airing their beloved holiday movies for a couple of weeks spanning both networks to coincide with their in-store ornament preview.

During this mid-year celebration, Hallmark Channel will also air a “First Look” special to give you a sneak peek of the movies they’ll premiere later in the year during their iconic Countdown to Christmas and Miracles of Christmas programming. This year, not only will we get a special, but Hallmark has plans to premiere TWO new holiday movies!

Christmas Keepsake Week starts on Friday, July 12th and runs through Sunday, July 28th this year — so, it’s more like two weeks and some festive change.

We’re getting closer and closer to Christmas in July, and to celebrate that fact, I have some news about not one, but two movie premieres to expect on the Hallmark networks next month!

“Christmas Camp” starring Lily Anne Harrison and Bobby Campo will premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries during Gold Crown Christmas on Sunday, July 7th Thursday, July 11th at 9pm/8c.

Synopsis: An advertising exec (Harrison) must bring in a new account — a traditional toy company. To learn more about the holiday and its traditions, she attends a ‘Christmas Camp,’ where she crosses paths with the camp owner’s son (Campo), who teaches her about other stuff, too, like love.
