We’re reaching the halfway mark of the summer season, which means we’re getting closer to 24/7 holiday programming from our favorite networks.  Hallmark Channel is ready for their iconic slate of festive movies with the Countdown to Christmas event, which returning this October!

Hallmark promises that it’s going to be ‘sweater than ever’, and we can’t wait!

To celebrate the Christmas in July event on Hallmark Channel, the network has been doing things a little differently this year and giving us a more in-depth peek at the original holiday movies coming to the Countdown to Christmas lineup later this year! We don’t usually get a first look at the movies while they’re in production, so this is exciting.

On their official YouTube channel, Hallmark went on set of “A Christmas Disconnect” with its stars Marisol Nichols and Kristoffer Polaha as they shared a bit about the storyline behind their film.

Directed by Paul Ziller from a screenplay by Nicole Baxter, “A Christmas Disconnect” tells the story of a married couple (Nichols, Polaha) having a hard time connecting, so they check into a cozy inn a small town called Gracious, Vermont during the holiday season to try and reconnect.

We are still a few months away from the grand reveal of all the new movies coming to Hallmark this holiday season, but Christmas is coming a little early this year – we’re being gifted three all-new original holiday movies for Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in July celebration!

“My Grown-Up Christmas List” (starring Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry), “Campfire Christmas” (starring Tori Anderson, Corbin Bleu and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and “Christmas in Toyland” (starring Vanessa Lengies and Jesse Hutch) are on the lineup this year, and with them come these super festive keyart posters that we had to share!

The most highly anticipated part of summer, at least for us, is returning to Hallmark Channel very soon… Christmas in July!

Following a Merry Movie Week on the sister channel Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, the merriment will extend to Hallmark Channel on July 1st — July 31st where viewers can enjoy holiday films from 10 a.m. – Midnight every day. The event kicks off with a 4-day Christmas Fan Favorites Marathon.

This year the network is gearing up to add maximum holiday cheer to your primetime viewing with three all-new original Christmas movies led by some of your favorite network stars, including When Calls the Heart alums Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry who will star alongside each other in “My Grown-Up Christmas List”.

Tori Anderson (Return to Christmas Creek, Spotlight on Christmas) and Corbin Bleu (Love, for Real) will lead Hallmark’s very first Christmas in July-themed movie, “Campfire Christmas” while Vanessa Lengies (Heart of the Holidays) and Jesse Hutch (Chateau Christmas, Let It Snow) star in a race-to-save-Christmas story, “Christmas in Toyland”.

We could not be more excited to share the latest Hallmark Channel holiday movie news with you!

The network has revealed that a Christmas movie featuring the Radio City Rockettes will be premiering later this year, as part of the 2022 Countdown to Chritsmas programming event!  Actors of the stage and screen are set to star “A Holiday Spectacular”, which will be filmed partially on the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City, including Ginna Claire Mason (Wicked), Tony Award-nominated Derek Klena (Jagged Little Pill), Academy Award-nominated entertainer Ann-Margret (Carnal Knowledge), and Eve Plumb (The Brady Bunch).

The story is set in 1958 when a Philadelphia heiress named Maggie (Mason) puts her high-society wedding plans, to a man she doesn’t love, on hold in order to sneak up to New York City and make her secret dream come true: dancing live on stage in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. While her family thinks she’s staying in New York City with an “approved” friend from boarding school, Maggie is living a completely different life than she’s ever known. She falls in love with New York and dancing with the Rockettes. Maggie soon feels caught between two worlds, made even more complicated by her chance encounter with young U.S. Navy photographer John (Klena). Will Maggie find the courage to tell her family what she wants for her future instead of accepting the future that was decided for her?

The Rockettes were choreographed by their director and choreographer, Julie Branam, who works with them for the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, and the dancers will also appear throughout the film in various performance numbers and speaking roles.

There’s nothing quite like closing out the year and welcoming a new one for a Christmas lover like a weekend filled with romantic, original Christmas movies from Hallmark Channel!

The network will be running a Christmas Rom-Com-a-Thon all weekend long, kicking off on New Year’s Day – Saturday, January 1st. There will be brand new films from this past holiday season as well as long-time favorites.

It’s been quite the holly jolly Christmas on Hallmark this year!  With 41 all-new original movies spanning Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Movies Now, there was no shortage of festive cheer (or something to watch) as we counted down the days until Christmas.

All of the movies have made their debut and Christmas is this weekend, so to help celebrate, cast members of “When Calls the Heart” is set to host Hallmark Channel’s 2021 Holiday Movie Weekend!  Kicking off on Christmas Eve, tune in for a marathon of all of the latest holiday movies — and behind the scenes surprises!

We may be in the midst of yuletide joy on Hallmark right now, but we have more merriment on the way to ensure a winter wonderland of all-new films when the annual New Year, New Movies programming slate kicks off in January 2022!

The network announced this week that it will debut five movies on Hallmark Channel and one all-new movie will premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries next year, and it all begins on January 1st. Get more information on the movies, casts and air-times below!

The LollyChristmas.com team recently caught up with actor Ryan Paevey to chat about his all-new Hallmark Channel original holiday movie, Coyote Creek Christmas, which is premiering this weekend as part of the network’s iconic Countdown to Christmas lineup!

You have a brand new Christmas movie premiering on Hallmark Channel called Coyote Creek Christmas. Can you talk more about the film and your character, Dylan?

Sure! I play Dylan Bailey of the Bailey Brothers Development Firm; a single dad–I’m kind of like the wandering salesman for my family.  It’s me and my kid [played by Dalman] on the road all the time, kind of just doing what the business needs, and my son and I had holiday plans that–I don’t want to say ‘get derailed’, but ‘delayed’, shall we say?  The business catches wind of a new project that they can work on called the Coyote Creek Inn, and so on our little road trip, we make a little detour there to take a look at it as a possible acquisition–kind of a turn and burn thing.  We get there and it’s nice; there’s this pretty girl [played by Parrish], and the family’s lovely, and they’re doing a Christmas thing… and maybe I don’t wanna steamroll the place.  Maybe I want to keep it the same, you know, hang out with the girl–my kid likes her, and that’s always good.

Hallmark Channel has announced that one of the films on their upcoming Countdown to Christmas roster this year was inspired by the Grammy-winning band, Train, and will feature lead singer Pat Monahan alongside Laura Osnes (“Raise a Glass to Love,” “One Royal Holiday”), Kyle Selig (“Madam Secretary”), and George Lopez (“George Lopez”)!

Inspired by Train’s album, and sharing its title, “Christmas in Tahoe” will also feature songs by the band performed by Monahan, including “Shake Up Christmas” with Selig, and the new song, “Mittens”.

In “Christmas in Tahoe”, Claire (Osnes) is an aspiring talent booker, who is about to be offered a prestigious job with a big Vegas venue when the Christmas Eve show that she put together at her family’s hotel and casino in Lake Tahoe suddenly loses their big act! Her best friend and concierge Jackson (Monahan) reminds her that she knows someone famous. Claire’s ex-boyfriend Ryan (Selig), the lead guitarist of the hugely popular band Wild Lynx, offers to help her find replacement acts. He’s on break from his tour and spending the holidays back in Tahoe with his family. Though Claire helped the band break out initially, she and Ryan haven’t spoken since they cut her loose in favor of a bigger management company. While trying to prove she has put the past behind her, feelings come back to the surface and they both realize they may need each other more than they remembered.

“Ever since having made our Christmas album, Christmas in Tahoe, it’s been a dream of mine to bring it to life on the screen,” says Monahan in a Crown Media statement. “Hallmark has now made that dream a reality. I loved being able to not only act but also perform “Shake Up Christmas” and our new original song, “Mittens” in the movie. I know that everyone is going to feel the love and warmth of the holiday season when they see this heartfelt film.”

“Christmas in Tahoe” will premiere on Sunday, November 28 at 6pm/5c on Hallmark Channel.
