The “Home Alone” reboot trailer is here.

Two years ago we reported on Disney rebooting the “Home Alone” franchise after acquiring 20th Century Fox, and now the trailer for the reimagined version is finally here.

In this all-new adventure comedy titled “Home Sweet Home Alone”, Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit) stars as Max Mercer, a 10-year-old who is left to his own devices when he’s accidentally left at home for the holidays as his family goes on a trip to Tokyo, Japan.

While his mother (Aisling Bea) works to make her way home to Max by Christmas, a married couple (Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney) tries to steal back a valuable heirloom from his family home.  In the trailer we’ll see a lot of nods, quotes and Easter eggs from the beloved holiday film franchise.

Illumination Entertainment, the animated division of Universal Pictures, is releasing a 3D computer-animated version — simply titled: “The Grinch” — this November, which is narrated by Pharrell Williams as Benedict Cumberbatch takes on the voice of the iconic green Christmas grump.
