Christmas Movies: More Holiday Programming for 2018!

Christmas Movies: More Holiday Programming for 2018!
There has been a lot of recent news surrounding all of the holiday movies coming out this Christmas, naturally. I mean, we’re halfway through the year, the Upfronts have recently ended and this is the time when a lot of the movies are being filmed and/or cast, so it’s not surprising that the entertainment news would be heavily holiday-centered despite the impending summer.

What do we know so far? There will be new Hallmark movies from Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Danica McKeller and Kellie Martin coming that are currently TBD while Danielle Panabaker stars in “Christmas Joy”, Kellie Pickler heads to “Christmas at Graceland”, Erin Krakow and Niall Matter return for “Marrying Father Christmas” and LeAnn Rimes leads “It’s Christmas, Eve”.  A third installment from Richard Paul Evans‘ holiday anthology series titled “The Mistletoe Secret” will also premiere.

Entertainment Weekly announced yesterday that Daniel Lissing and Brooke D’Orsay will star in the Hallmark original “Kringles for Christmas”, and that there will be a fourth “When Calls the Heart Christmas” movie based off the hit network television Western family drama. Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, Kavan Smith, and Paul Greene are among the actors reprising their roles for the film.

Melissa Joan Hart is back at Lifetime for “A Very Nutty Christmas” while a pack of former “One Tree Hill” reunite in “The Christmas Contract” and “Poinsettias for Christmas”.

Vanessa Hudgens and Sam Palladio are bringing some Yuletide cinematic cheer on Netflix for “The Christmas Switch”. But, wait, there’s more! In addition to the Hudgens’ lead film on the streaming service, Kat Graham (“The Vampire Diaries”) and Quincy Brown (“STAR”) will lead “Christmas Calendar”, a festive film about a magical advent calendar.

“A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding” starring Rose McIver and Ben Lamb — a sequel to 2017’s “A Christmas Prince” — will also premiere. Check out the recently released teaser below!

TVOne will air “Merry Wish-Mas”, a film about former high school sweethearts that reunite for the holidays, which will star real-life married couple Tamela and David Mann.

We’re still awaiting to see what UPtv has planned this year, but stay posted to LollyChristmas.com for all of your joyous programming needs this holiday season!

Stay merry!
