Kristen Stewart‘s new Christmas movie “Happiest Season” is heading to Hulu this November!

In the Clea DuVall-directed LGBTQ romantic holiday comedy, Stewart plays Abby, a young woman who plans to propose to her girlfriend Harper, played by Mackenzie Davis (“Terminator: Dark Fate”), during her family’s annual Christmas party.  Unfortunately, literally upon arrival, she discovers Harper hasn’t come out to her conservative parents, played by acting heavyweights Mary Steenburgen (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) and Victor Garber (“Titanic”).

Throughout the visit, Abby is given advice – via several phone calls – from one of her closest friends, played by Dan Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”).  Alison Brie (“GLOW”), Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation”), Mary Holland (“Robbie”), Jake McDorman (“The Right Stuff”), Burl Moseley (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), Ana Gasteyer (“Saturday Night Live”) and director, DuVall (“Veep”) also star.

Originally set for a theatrical release, the film is moving to the streaming service on November 25th due to less people heading to movie theaters amid the pandemic.  “Happiest Season” hopes to capture the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, remaining true to yourself, and the efforts we go through to avoid ruining a Christmas celebration.
