ABC has revealed this year’s holiday programming schedule and it’s full of Christmas cheer, festive-themed episodes of top shows, Disney magic, and joyful music from some of your favorite voices! The network will kick off its seasonal lineup on November 16th with Thanksgiving episodes of primetime hit shows, and after Turkey Day, the merriment will continue throughout the rest of the year.

The Backstreet Boys will host their very first holiday special, “A Very Backstreet Christmas” where they’ll perform songs from their new album of the same name; EGOT winner John Legend teams up with David Brown, founder of the Columbus, Ohio-based Harmony Project, for “Finding Harmony”—an inspirational one-hour special, and “A CMA Country Christmas” returns with an intimate night full of holiday classics performed by your favorite names in Country music. The 2022 American Music Awards will take place on November 20th while the anticipated “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration” airs in December!

Disney will simulcast the premiere of “Mickey Saves Christmas” on ABC, Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD at 7:00 p.m. EST., and there will be lots more yuletide cheer in store—including the return of the competition show “The Great Christmas Light Fight”, a “Love Actually” cast reunion with ABC News, Disney Parks annual magical celebration specials, Wonderful World of Disney movies that families can enjoy together, and fans of the classic “Home Alone” can enjoy watching the movie on Christmas Eve! The seasonal event wraps up on New Year’s Eve as we ring in 2023 with “Dick Clark New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest”!*

Wednesday, Nov. 16

The Conners – “Of Missing Minds and Missing Fries” | 8pm/7c

It’s Thanksgiving at the Conners and Jackie must come to terms with her mother, Beverly, becoming ill. Meanwhile, Darlene is on the job hunt which proves to be more difficult than anticipated.

The Goldbergs – “Another Turkey Trot” | 8:30pm/7:30c

It’s Thanksgiving, and no one crushes Turkey Day like Beverly Goldberg; though, with the loss of Murray, this holiday feels a bit different. Geoff and Erica are stressed over the new baby; and, even more worrisome, an unexpected Goldberg relative arrives. With everyone highly suspicious of this unforeseen visitor, things are likely to go off the rails at any moment.

Home Economics – “Wheel of Vegan Brie, $24” | 9:31pm/8:31c

It’s Thanksgiving at the Hayworths, though this year feels a bit different with one extra chair at the table. While Tom, Sarah and Connor wrestle with their conflicting emotions, Marina and Denise see this new addition to the family as a potential chance to gain a new “normal.” This episode guest stars Casey Wilson.

Disney’s Enchanted | 8pm/7c

For princess-to-be Giselle (Amy Adams), life is a fairy tale — until she’s banished from the animated land of Andalasia and thrust into the very unmagical, live-action world of modern-day Manhattan. When a cynical, no-nonsense divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) comes to her aid, little does he realize that this joyful, wide-eyed innocent is about to enchant him.

This special broadcast celebrates the 2007 film on the eve of the release of its sequel, Disney’s “Disenchanted”—streaming on Disney+ on November 18!

2022 American Music Awards | 8pm/7c

The world’s largest fan-voted awards show where global superstars that span across generations and genres, including Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, J.I.D, P!NK, Tems, Wizkid and Yola will take the stage for never-before-seen musical performances and first-ever collaborations. Hosted by Wayne Brady, the “2022 American Music Awards” will air live from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles.

The Rookie: Feds – “Standoff” | 10pm/9c

After a father and daughter are kidnapped on Thanksgiving, the team discovers a hostage situation involving police deputies. When the gunmen offer an exchange for the hostages, Simone is sent undercover by Garza, and Lopez arrives to help rescue Wesley. Meanwhile, Laura and Brendon search for a nanny cam that could reveal the identity of the kidnapper.

Mickey Saves Christmas | 7pm/6c

Disney’s new stop-motion holiday special, “Mickey Saves Christmas,” follows Mickey, Minnie and their pals as they attempt to celebrate the perfect Christmas at their snowy cabin. However, when Pluto causes Santa to lose all the presents on his sleigh, the friends travel to the North Pole on a quest to save Christmas and find the true meaning of the holiday. A collaboration between Disney and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, “Mickey Saves Christmas” premieres with a simulcast on ABC, Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure | 7:30pm/6:30c

In “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure,” Olaf teams up with Sven on a merry mission. It’s the first holiday season since the gates reopened, and Anna and Elsa host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save Anna and Elsa’s “first Christmas in forever.” “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” features the original cast of Arendelle characters, including Olaf, voiced by Josh Gad; Anna, voiced by Kristen Bell; Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel; and Kristoff, voiced by Jonathan Groff. The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration | 8pm/7c

Ready, set, glow. The most wonderful time of the year is here as ABC’s hit decorating competition series, “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” returns for its 10th season with back-to-back episodes across the first three weeks of the Christmas season. The next installment of the “lit” series showcases America’s brightest houses with the help of celebrity judges and Christmas décor aficionados – lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and famed interior designer Taniya Nayak.

In each merry and bright episode, the Christmas classic takes viewers across the country to the most elaborate and awe-inspiring holiday displays in the nation as viewers will once again see four fantastic families face off in each one-hour episode and compete to win $50,000 and the coveted Light Fight Trophy. “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” which also received a season 11 pickup, is produced by Fremantle.

The week continues to get a whole lot brighter as judges Carter Oosterhouse and Taniya Nayak take viewers to the biggest and brightest holiday displays across the country. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune – “Jack Black, Kal Penn and Sasheer Zamata” | 8pm/7c

This special holiday episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” hosted by pop-culture legends Pat Sajak and Vanna White, takes a star-studded spin on America’s Game® by welcoming celebrities to spin the world’s most famous Wheel and solve puzzles for a chance to win more than $1 million. All of the money won by the celebrity contestants will go to a charity of their choice. Beginning today, “The View” will honor their “12 Days of Holidays” festivities on the morning talk show with welcomed guests Lily Collins, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Amber Ruffin, Alexandra Pelosi, Audra McDonald and Edie Falco. Presented by The Wonderful World of Disney, the two-hour reimagining of the beloved story of “Beauty and the Beast” will be taped in front of a live audience at Disney Studios. Five-time GRAMMY and Academy Award®-winning singer-songwriter H.E.R. will play the role of Belle; Tony, Emmy and GRAMMY-nominated artist Josh Groban will play the Beast; Tony and GRAMMY-nominated star Joshua Henry has been tapped to play Gaston; and EGOT winner and legend Rita Moreno will serve as the night’s narrator.

Celebrated comedian and Emmy® Award-winning actor Martin Short has been tapped to play Lumière; Tony® Award winner David Alan Grier will play Cogsworth; Rizwan Manji joins the cast as Gaston’s loyal sidekick, LeFou; and Jon Jon Briones will play Belle’s loving father, Maurice. Viewers are also in for a major treat as five-time GRAMMY Award® winner and top-selling female country pop artist Shania Twain is joined by rising star Leo Abelo Perry, playing everyone’s favorite mother-son duo, Mrs. Potts and Chip.

Jon M. Chu will executive produce the special and Hamish Hamilton is set to direct, taking viewers on a memorable journey through the classic enchanted tale.

A half-hour of entertainment starring America’s favorite ogre and his friends, features the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas. Just when Shrek thought he could finally sit back, relax and enjoy his happily ever after with his new family, the most joyous of all holidays arrives. It’s Christmas Eve and everyone is filled with holiday cheer – except for Shrek. He isn’t exactly the picture of yuletide joy, but for the sake of Fiona and the kids, he tries to get into the spirit of things as only an ogre can. Unfortunately, everyone seems to have their own ideas about what Christmas is all about, so when Donkey, Puss In Boots, Gingerbread Man and the whole gang try to join in on the fun, Shrek’s plans for a cozy family celebration end up spiraling into one truly unforgettable Christmas. In this live broadcast, ABC’s Owned Television Stations will track Santa sightings across America as only Disney properties can. Starting at WABC in New York, the event will jump from station to station following Santa, with anchors in the studio tossing to reporters in the field, meteorologists tracking atmospheric disturbances that can only be Santa himself, celebrity shout outs and holiday greetings, live chats with Santa, and much more. This will also livestream on Hulu.

Sunday, Dec. 25 — Christmas Day

Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade | 10am EST, 9am Central, 7am PST

Disney’s annual Christmas celebration returns Christmas morning with heartwarming stories, dazzling celebrity performances and of course, the Christmas Day Parade! Dick Clark New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023 | 8pm/7c

ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest is the preeminent destination for viewers to ring in the New Year. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and co-hosted by Liza Koshy, Ciara, Billy Porter, D-Nice, Rosalyn Sanchez and Jessie James Decker, live from Times Square, the show celebrates the year’s very best in music featuring a night superstar performances.

The nation’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration, which gives viewers a look at New Year’s celebrations from around the globe, will wrap up the holiday season and kick off Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder celebration. Performers include Aly & AJ, Armani White, Bailey Zimmerman, Ben Platt, Betty Who, Billy Porter, Ciara, Dove Cameron, Farruko, Finneas, Fitz & The Tantrums, Halle Bailey, Lauren Spencer Smith, Maddie & Tae, Nicky Youre, Shaggy, TXT, and Wiz Khalifa.
