If you’re an avid watcher of Hallmark movies, especially the ones at Christmas, you might be thrilled to know that the network listened to our musical pleas and released the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas Album, a venture between Hallmark Channel and Warner Music Nashville. The festive soundtrack contains both previously released tracks and original Christmas songs, many of which were written and composed for Hallmark Channel, the undisputed leader in holiday programming.

Chaley Rose and Rome Flynn star in the new Hallmark Channel movie, “A Christmas Duet”, as a former music group (and couple!) who are reunited at Christmas years after ending their relationship.

Averie Davis (Rose) wears a beautiful burgundy Burberry ‘Gibbsmoore’ Funnel Collar Trench Coat with cool grommet belt detail at the waist and wrists.  Unfortunately, this coat is sold out, but I found a cool lookalike with this Michael Kors look.

What’s the holiday season without some carols?!

Many stars will bring their musical talents to the Hallmark networks for their respective festive movies, which are set to premiere during the 10th anniversary of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas as well as Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas programming.

“The right Christmas music is key to setting the mood for the holiday season so we couldn’t be more thrilled to feature original songs in our movie premieres this year,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming & Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks at the networks bi-annual Television Critics Summer Press Tour yesterday. “We’re fortunate to have so many new songs performed by such talented stars, so turn up the volume because this holiday season will be triumphant and bright on Hallmark.”

“A Christmas Love Story” (Hallmark Channel)
Tony®and Emmy®Award winner Kristin Chenoweth (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, “Pushing Daisies”) will lead the Hallmark Hall of Fame film “A Christmas Love Story”, in which she will star as a youth choir director who needs to write a big song for the Christmas Eve show but becomes distracted from that endeavor when Danny (Kevin Quinn, “Bunk’d”), a boy with a golden voice joins her choir, much to the surprise of his widowed father played by Scott Wolf (“The Night Shift,” “Party of Five”). Little does she know a life-changing, emotional surprise is in store for her moments before the show as she gets ready to take the stage and sing “When Angels Land” with Danny.

Hallmark has announced yet another upcoming Christmas movie slated for their holiday programming later this year. “Christmas Duet” will star Chaley Rose (“Nashville”), “How to Get Away with Murder” star Rome Flynn, and network fan-favorite Teryl Rothery.

In ‘Duet’, well-loved music duo Averie (Rose) and Jesse (Flynn), famous for their duet “Wouldn’t be Christmas,” haven’t played together since they went their separate ways years ago. Averie gave up music and opened a beautiful lodge in a snowy Vermont town – while Jesse still tours, struggling to find the same kind of success they had as a duo.

When fate brings them together over the holidays at Averie’s lodge just in time for the annual Yuletide Festival, can the magic of Christmas help reunite them once again?

Rothery will play a travel magazine writer who visits the lodge to consider it for “Top Winter Lodge,” and earn Averie a much-needed cash prize.  Rothery was previously seen in the Hallmark holiday films “Road to Christmas” (2018), “A Bramble House Christmas” (2017), and “The Wishing Tree” (2012).
