Hallmark Channel’s Merry Thanksgiving Weekend returns this year with a twist — an Ultimate Watch Party hosted by the network’s Chief Fan Officer and Fan Leaders! Putting the Hallmarkies in the heart of it all, viewers can enjoy 4 nights filled with merry movies as we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and festive features.

The Merry Thanksgiving Weekend Ultimate Watch Party kicks off on Thanksgiving night—Thursday, November 23rd at 8pm/7c with the premiere of Catch Me if You Claus, starring Italia Ricci and Luke Macfarlane, and will conclude on Sunday evening with the premiere of A Biltmore Christmas, starring Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha. Perhaps the most anticipated movie of the celebration is Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up, the sequel to last year’s holiday hit with an all-star cast led by Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown.

THURSDAY

Catch Me If You Claus — November 23 at 8p ET/PT
Starring: Italia Ricci and Luke Macfarlane

Avery Quinn (Ricci) is an aspiring news anchor who’s finally getting her big break on her station’s Christmas morning newscast. But that’s put in jeopardy when she captures an intruder in her home wearing a red suit claiming to be Chris (Macfarlane), Santa’s son, who is on his first mission. A night of adventure ensues as they find themselves being pursued by the police as well as some shady characters. Along the way, they connect over living in the shadow of their parents and inspire each other to go after their dreams.

It feels like the year is flying by—Thanksgiving is just days away! To help build more anticipation for the big day, and the “official start” of the holiday season, we have compiled all of the details for the upcoming 97th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!  The time-honored tradition will feature a big line-up this year filled with exciting floats, balloons, marching bands, performers, and some of your favorite stars as they celebrate throughout the busy streets of New York City. 🦃✨

“TODAY” show anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will return as hosts of the three-hour telecast, which will be simulcast on Peacock. Nationwide audiences can also catch an encore of the celebration when NBC airs an encore at 2 p.m. ET/PT.

This year’s Macy’s Parade will feature 5,000 volunteers, 16 featured character balloons, 26 fantastic floats, 32 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 12 marching bands and 9 performance groups.  The legendary star of music, film, stage and television, CHER, will kick off the festivities by performing one of her holiday hits from her album, Christmas, at 34^th Street!

Spend your Thanksgiving with Hallmark Channel this year as Lacey Chabert hosts the annual Merry Thanksgiving Weekend celebration! Under the guise of a journalist, Campbell has a chance to get to know her biological father for the first time – without him ever knowing who she really is. As she spends time with him and his family, as well as with the town’s record keeper, she realizes that families are messy, wonderful things. In the end, Campbell must decide if she’s going to keep her identity a secret or reveal the truth to her father – a decision that will change their family Christmas forever.

As we usher in November, we can celebrate the fact that we’re just weeks away from the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a time-honored tradition that helps welcome the holiday season. This iconic festive morning event will feature extravagant helium balloons floating in the sky and whimsical floats gliding down the streets of New York City while marching bands and other top talent put on show-stopping performances along the way, and you won’t want to miss appearances from the Radio City Rockettes® and, the one-and-only, Santa Claus!

“Today” show anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will return to host the three-hour telecast; viewers nationwide can catch all the action via the special broadcasts on NBC and Peacock from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in all time zones; an encore of the Macy’s Parade will air from 2-5 p.m. ET.

This year’s parade will boast more than 5,000 volunteers, 16 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 40 novelty and heritage inflatables, more than 700 clowns, 12 marching bands and 10 performance groups and an array of musical stars.

Breaking News Update (11/18/22): The Queen of Christmas is opening this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Mariah Carey will welcome the festivities with a magical merry performance, and she will help close the show with a finale performance of her holiday anthem, “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. CBS is bringing on the merry for the holidays with their ‘More the Merrier’ programming event filled with an giant collection of seasonal specials that will be fun for the whole family!

The network will kick off their lineup this November with the beloved tradition of the “CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade”, but you’ll be able to catch more returning favorites like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, “Frosty the Snowman” and “Robbie the Reindeer”, last year’s original movies “A Christmas Proposal” and “Christmas Takes Flight” as well as three brand-new original movies, “Fit For Christmas”, “Must Love Christmas” and “When Christmas Was Young”.

LL Cool J will return to host the 100th annual “National Christmas Tree Lighting” ceremony in Washington, D.C. joined by Gloria Estefan, Andy Grammer, Joss Stone and Shania Twain, and more!  “A Home for the Holidays at The Grove” will return the week of Christmas with performances by Estefan, Grammer, Little Big Town and David Foster & Kat McPhee, and the year will close out with the “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash”!

Please Note: This list will continue to be updated throughout the season, so please keep checking back!  Some networks (i.e. Hallmark, Lifetime & UPtv) will air their own original Christmas movies 24-hours a day with air-times that can change sporadically so, for those networks, I will include a link to their daily programming schedule to avoid making this post 3 miles long!

FYI: Christmas original movies from streaming services like Netflix and Disney Plus are available 365 days a year, so keep in mind the films that premiered last year are *typically* still streaming!

There is no holiday kick-off quite like the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and this year the tradition is ringing in its 95th year! You can expect to see ‘a spectacle like no other’ when 15 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 36 novelty and heritage inflatables, more than 800 clowns, 10 marching bands and 9 performance groups, a host of musical stars — and, of course, Santa Claus — march their way down the streets of New York City on Thanksgiving morning.

“Today” show anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will host the three-hour telecast; viewers nationwide can catch all the action via the special broadcasts on NBC and Telemundo, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in all time zones, and for the first time fans can also livestream coverage on Peacock. NBC will air an encore of the Parade from 2-5 p.m. ET.

The Spanish-language simulcast on Telemundo will be hosted by “En Casa con Telemundo’s” Ana Jurka and Carlos Adyan, accompanied by Freddy Lomelí live from Sixth Avenue, and will feature a special appearance by current Miss Universe, Andrea Meza.
