For the fifth installment in the “A Cinderella Story” movie series, we’re heading into the holiday season for a modern retelling of the classic fairytale with an enchanting festive twist, “A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish”!
Laura Marano (Disney’s “Austin and Ally”, “The Perfect Date”) stars as Kat Decker, an aspiring singer-songwriter with big dreams of a successful career, but her goals are stalled by her stepmother and two stepsisters. While Kat works a seasonal job as a singing elf at a Christmas fair, she finds herself falling for the handsome Dominic ‘Nick’ Wintergarden (Gregg Sulkin, “Marvel’s Runaways”, “Faking It”) — who takes on the job of Santa Claus at the local Christmas tree lot.
The movie also stars Johannah Newmarch as Kat’s stepmother Deirdra Decker, with Lillian Doucet-Roche (“The Miracle Season”) and Chanelle Peloso (Syfy’s “Deadly Class”) as stepsisters Joy and Grace, respectively. Isabella Gomez (“One Day at a Time”) plays Kat’s best friend Isla, and Barclay Hope (“Riverdale”) takes on the role of Terrence Wintergarden.
So, break out the mistletoe and holly and get ready to sing and dance as Warner Bros.
